Kick-off in Istanbul comes under the bright European lights in what promises to be a tactically intriguing contest between a side pushing for domestic glory and another battling instability at home, but finding solace in continental competition.

Fenerbahce enter this clash in excellent form.

The Yellow Canaries are unbeaten in their last six matches in all competitions, winning four and drawing two.

They have scored 13 goals across their previous six fixtures, averaging 2.17 goals per game while conceding just once per match.

Their recent 3-2 away win over Trabzonspor underlined both their attacking fluency and resilience.

At home, they have been particularly reliable, failing to score in just one home match all season.

In the Europa League league phase, they picked up seven of their 12 points on home soil, averaging 2.13 total goals per European match.

Domestically, they remain firmly in the Super Lig title race, sitting just three points off the summit and unbeaten through 22 league games.

Manager Domenico Tedesco has benefitted from strong individual performances.

Anderson Talisca leads the scoring charts with 21 goals in all competitions and has four in Europe, while Kerem Akturkoglu and Marco Asensio add further cutting edge.

Notably, Akturkoglu and Talisca have accounted for 80% of Fenerbahce’s Europa League goals.

Midfield additions such as N’Golo Kante and Matteo Guendouzi provide balance, while Archie Brown remains sidelined with a leg injury.

Forest’s campaign has been far less stable. The Premier League side sit 17th domestically, just three points above the relegation zone, and arrive without a win in their last three matches.

Across their last six games, they have managed only two victories, scoring 1.33 goals per match and conceding 0.83 on average.

Their most recent outing was a frustrating 0-0 draw with Wolves, where they fired 35 shots but failed to convert.

European competition has offered some relief. Forest finished 13th in the league phase, winning four of eight matches and averaging 1.88 goals per game while conceding 0.88.

However, away form remains a concern, with six defeats in their last 10 road matches across competitions.

New manager Vitor Pereira begins his tenure against his former club, hoping to inspire an immediate reaction.

Injuries complicate matters, with Chris Wood, Willy Boly and Matz Sels among several absentees.

Igor Jesus, who has six Europa League goals, remains their primary attacking threat, supported by Morgan Gibbs-White.

This will be the first-ever meeting between these clubs.

Historically, Fenerbahce have struggled against English opposition, winning only four of 21 previous encounters, but their current momentum contrasts sharply with Forest’s inconsistency.

Key betting pointers;

Fenerbahce are on a four-match winning streak.

Forest have lost six of their last 10 away matches.

Fenerbahce have won eight of their last 11 games.

Forest have failed to win in seven of their last 10 fixtures.

With superior form, strong home scoring consistency, and Forest’s injury-hit squad struggling for domestic stability, the Turkish side hold a clear edge. Backing a home win, potentially alongside over 1.5 team goals for Fenerbahce, offers solid value given current trends.

Prediction; Fenerbahce to win
