Clownish behavior – Neymar cursed out and humiliated a teammate

Brazilian football star Neymar Jr. has spent much of his career in the spotlight due to a series of controversial incidents, and once again he finds himself at the center of attention.

After a disappointing World Cup campaign, where Brazil's hopes rested heavily on his shoulders before they were knocked out by Norway in the Round of 16, Neymar has continued to make headlines for the wrong reasons.

The first controversy came when reports claimed he had skipped a Santos match to participate in a poker tournament. Those rumors were later dismissed, and Neymar returned to action against Chapecoense, scoring twice to earn his side a draw. During the celebration of his first goal, he appeared to silence his critics by mimicking the act of dealing poker cards.

However, another scandal quickly emerged after the match. According to Brazilian media, Neymar allegedly insulted and belittled a younger teammate inside the dressing room. Sources claim his criticism of the club's younger players crossed the line of what is considered acceptable.

The most serious accusation involves Gabriel Bontempo, whom Neymar reportedly called "a piece of sh*t" before sarcastically telling him they would meet Chapecoense again next season in Serie B, referring to the club's position at the bottom of the table.

The incident has reportedly further strained Neymar's relationship with the rest of the Santos squad. It was his first appearance for the club since returning from the unsuccessful World Cup, but teammates are said to be increasingly frustrated with his behavior on the pitch, where he frequently criticizes every unsuccessful move.

According to Globo, several players—particularly the club's foreign footballers—feel intimidated when the Brazilian superstar publicly gestures and complains toward them in front of supporters. There have also been growing concerns within the squad about Neymar's physical condition.

When approached by the media, Neymar's representatives declined to comment, simply stating that they had "no comment."

Meanwhile, those allegedly involved in the incident have attempted to downplay the reports. Through his public relations team, Bontempo insisted there were only general remarks made at halftime and denied that any insults were directed at him.

Joao Ananias echoed that version of events, rejecting claims of a direct confrontation with Neymar and saying the criticism in the dressing room had been aimed at the entire team rather than any individual.

Santos' board is expected to hold a meeting on Sunday to fully investigate the situation before reaching a final conclusion.
