
Double joy as Leopards collect hundreds of thousands in win over KCB FC

AFC Leopards’ win over KCB had more goodies than just the three points.
This is after the club announced that they collected hundreds of thousands from the sale of match day tickets.

The two clubs met in an FKF Premier League match on Saturday, 25 October at the Ulinzi Sports Complex, Lang’ata with Leopards securing a 2-1 win.
A day after the match, Leopards took to their social media accounts to reveal their match ticket sales.
“We hosted KCB FC yesterday at Ulinzi Sports Complex. A total of 1334 tickets were sold : 1230 for terraces and 104 for the VIP.We take this opportunity to thank all of us for purchasing the tickets, turning up for the match and your corporation at the gates,” revealed Leopards.
Regular tickets were retailing at Ksh300 each, while VIP tickets were sold at Ksh500.
This means that Leopards earned a total of Ksh421,000; Ksh369,000 from regular tickets and Ksh52,000 from VIP.
In the Saturday afternoon encounter, Leopards broke the deadlock inside the first minute through, diminutive midfielder, Boniface Munyendo.
In the second half, the Bankers drew level in the 55th minute through Francis Kahiro, but Ingwe were back at it in the 72nd minute, as Christopher Koloti struck to secure all points.
The final whistle signified Leopards’ first win of the season after previously settling for draws in their three matches.
The win came as a relief for Leopards head coach Fred Ambani, his assistant Kenneth Wendo and physical fitness coach Vincent Mbwavi.
The trio were under immense pressure from fans, having received warning letters following the poor start.
Leopards are eighth on the FKFPL log with six points after playing four matches.
The 1998 champions will face the limping Shabana in their next match slated for Wednesday, 29 October at Gusii Stadium.
