Eric Ouma is keeping his feet on the ground despite being linked with a number of European heavyweights.
Kenyan international Eric Marcelo Ouma was coy on the incessant transfer link to top clubs including Manchester City but hopes to grace one of the European top five leagues in the near future.
According to reports from Sweden, EPL sides Manchester City, Brighton and Hove Albion and Leicester City scouts have been tracking the left-back and watched as the former Gor Mahia leftback impressed in AIK's 2-0 win over Goteborg on Monday in Sweden. Atalanta, Rubin Kazan, Wolfsburg and Crystal Palace are also said to be following on his progress.

His burgeoning reputation has also led to him also being linked with a move to Russian outfit Rubin Kazan, Bundesliga giants Wolfsburg and Italian side Atalanta.
Speaking to Mozzart Sport, the former Gor Mahia wingback revealed that he would one day like to play either in the Premier League, Bundesliga, LaLiga, Ligue 1 or Eredivisie.
“I hope to test myself in the top five leagues God willing. For now, I can't talk about that (transfers), it is too early. Until it is done, it is all about AIK,” said Marcelo.

Sweden has been a stepping stone for Kenyans who have hit the upper echelons of football including Victor Wanyama, MacDonald Mariga and Michael Olunga.
Marcelo’s compatriot and fellow Kakamega High School alumnus Joseph Okumu is also being linked to a big-money move to Scottish champions Rangers FC after impressing for Elfsborg.
The 24-year-old and Okumu were part of the talented 2014 Kakamega High School side that included Apollo Otieno, James Mazembe and Pistone Mutamba.
Marcelo’s whose contract at AIK lapses in 2024 pinned hard work and discipline to the success of many of his teammates from high school.
“It’s all about hard work and discipline and furthermore respecting your body because that is your engine of work,” added the left back.
Despite being 24, Ouma has turned out for a number of clubs inlcuding Gor Mahia, Kolkheti Poti, KS Kastrioti, Vasalund and AIK.
