EURO2024Q: Les Bleus are playing not to dismantle tiny Gibraltar but to impress Deschamps

Tonight's game (10.45 pm), like the one against Greece on Tuesday, will be a perfect test for some players who are hoping to make the final squad

France boss Didier Deschamps has called on his players to make an impression and stake a claim tonight against Gibraltar and in a few days versus Greece.

Euro 2024 is fast approaching, and this international break should serve as a genuine trial for some of Les Bleus' players hoping to become an integral part of the squad.

Once the current international break is complete, there will be just one more before Euro 2024 in June.

Warren Zaire-Emery is one of the players looking to stake a claim, and he'll make his debut against Gibraltar.

Speaking in a press conference ahead of the clash, Deschamps said that some of his players are aware that they are playing for their places in Euro 2024.

"They know. With the absentees, they know it very well. With the competition, they understand. The game time that they get, it will be in their interest to play as well as possible. To get the responses, we can't put them on the bench," said the France manager.
