An 84th minute equaliser saw Sharks ditch a loss that would have dented their run
Kariobangi Sharks came from behind to earn a share of the spoils against Muhoroni Youth in a 1-1 draw at the Moi International Stadium, Kasarani Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Muhoroni headed into the match with a lot of pressure and needed to pick up maximum points after failing to win on four consecutive league games managing one win in six matches.
The match got off to a slow start in the opening half but Sharks grew into the match with each passing minute dictating the play with tantalizing passes that had Cliff Vincent and Alex Onchwari on their paces.
Sharks continued to press and test Muhoroni's mettle offering no space and time for the Got Alila based club. A clear cut chance of the match came in the 30th minute when Kariobangi had the ball at the back of the net only to be ruled out for an offside.
10 minutes into the second stanza, Muhoroni went ahead with talisman Collins Neto racing on an incoming Cliff Vincent cross to head home inside the area to hand the Charles Odera coached side advantage.
The goal did not pin down Sharks as they launched attacks on the other end of the field further pinning down Muhoroni and calling to task Custodian Ezekiel Owade who dealt worg all the balls to ensure there was nothing to write home for the better part of the half.
Just as Muhoroni thought they had bagged maximum points after four failed attempts, George Onyango ruined their party with an 84th minute strike to level the matters for the William Muluya side maximizing on miscommunication among the Muhoroni centre backs.
The draw was Sharks third of the season and takes them to ninth on the log on seven points while Muhoroni fourth stalemate of the campaign leave them 15th on the standings.
