Kenyan giants AFC Leopards will be away to Kariobangi Sharks in a match played at the Kasarani Stadium from 1500 hrs.
Ingwe head into the match having failed to secure a win in their last two games, losing to Mara Sugar before being held to a draw by Murang'a Seal.
The Murang'a Seal game exposed Leopards' struggles in front of goal as the team registered only one shot on target with coach Fred Ambani blaming the players for not playing according to instructions.
Leopards who are currently fourth on the log standings could move to second if they secure victory over Sharks.
On their part, Sharks have been on a poor run of form since the season began and have won just one of their eight league matches so far. The team is currently on a four-match winless streak that includes three losses.
In their last outing, Sharks lost a goal lead to suffer a humiliating 4-2 defeat to Mozzart Cup champions Nairobi United.
Last season, the two sides shared the spoils in both the first leg and the second leg and will each want to make it three points this time.
However, for Sharks, they will have to do so without the services of coach Wiliam Muluya who will be entirely.
Murang'a Seal vs Shabana
In yet another big match, rivalry will be renewed when Murang'a Seal welcomes Shabana at the St. Sebastian park from 1500 hrs.
The two clubs shared rivalry in their National Super League (NSL) days where they were all keen to assert their dominance both on the pitch and in the stands through the various fans.
Seal head into the march on the back of back to back away draws against Kakamega Homeboyz and AFC Leopards respectively.
The Osborne Monday-coached side will now want to be keen to take full advantage of playing at home to pick maximum points.
To win the match and avenge for the double that Shabana had on them last season, Seal must utilize the numerous goalscoring opportunities that they have been creating but not utilizing.
“Scoring is our main undoing currently. We are wasteful in front of goal but I believe that my strikers will keep improving. The most important thing though is that we are creating chances,” said Monday.
For Shabana, they managed to end their five-match winless streak with a win against Ulinzi Stars in their last match and are out to make it back to back wins.
Seal are currently 15th in the league table with nine points, same as Ulinzi who are in the relegation zone.
The Glamour Boys on the other hand are currently ninth on the log standings with 11 points and a win could potentially move them up to fourth on the table.
Kakamega Homeboyz vs Posta Rangers
At Bukhungu Stadium, 2023 Mozzart Bet Cup champions Kakamega Homeboyz will lock horns with Posta Rangers from 1400 hrs.
Both teams head into the match with poor runs of form; Homeboyz having not won any of their last three matches while Posta are on a five-match winless streak.
The bad run has seen Homeboyz dislodged from the summit of the table by Gor Mahia and are now second with 15 points, one more than third placed Kenya Police FC who have two games in hand.
For Posta, their woes continued off the field of play after coach Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo ditched the side in midweek to join APS Bomet.
His assistant Collins ‘Korea’ Omondi will be in charge of the team on an interim basis with his first task being to end the winless streak.
Last season, Homeboyz picked up four points from Posta Rangers, one away in the first leg and a home victory in the return leg.
