Despite being a centre back, Odhiambo has been contributing goals for Homeboyz in the current season
KCB and Kakamega Homeboyz settled for a 1-1 draw in an FKF Premier League encounter staged at the Kasarani Annex on Sunday.
The match began cautiously, with both teams adopting a measured approach and largely cancelling each other out in midfield exchanges.

KCB, however, were the first to threaten, with Boniface Omondi, displaying a burst of pace to beat his markers, only to see his effort drift narrowly off target.
The hosts continued to probe and came close again in the 10th minute.
A well-crafted move involving neat interplay down the flank saw a pinpoint delivery find Humphrey Mieno, but his attempt sailed inches over the crossbar, much to the relief of the Homeboyz defence.
Gradually, Kakamega Homeboyz grew into the contest, asserting themselves with increasing confidence.
Moses Mudavadi came close to breaking the deadlock after latching onto a clever switch of play from Glen Masava, but his first-time effort failed to trouble the goalkeeper.
Masava himself soon tested KCB’s resolve, racing onto a through ball from Henry Omollo before unleashing a long-range strike that veered just wide.
Chances continued to fall at both ends in an increasingly open first half.
KCB’s Kisaka December nearly capitalised on a defensive lapse, sprinting into the Homeboyz area, but his attempted chip was comfortably gathered by goalkeeper, Ibrahim Wanzala.
At the other end, a flowing move involving Rodgers Ouma, Omollo, and John Omondi culminated in a teasing delivery that Mudavadi narrowly failed to convert.
The breakthrough finally arrived in the 33rd minute, with KCB taking the lead through Rowland Makati.
Siraj Mohammed’s well-delivered cross found Makati rising above the defence, and the forward powered home a commanding header to give the hosts a deserved advantage.
Kakamega Homeboyz responded with urgency.
Peter Thiong’o came close to restoring parity moments later, reacting swiftly to a split pass from Mudavadi, but his volley flashed wide.
Shafik Batambuze also threatened before the break, his clever footwork creating space for a dangerous delivery that forced the Bankers into a defensive scramble.
The second half resumed at a higher tempo, with Homeboyz intent on finding an equaliser.
A tactical substitution saw Samuel Odaro introduced, and he nearly made an immediate impact, meeting a delivery from Masava only to send his effort just over the bar.
The visitors continued to press, and their persistence paid dividends in the 62nd minute.
A well-curled delivery found Potiphar Odhiambo, who rose highest to dispatch a powerful header past Arnold Matumele, restoring parity and igniting renewed belief among the Homeboyz ranks.
Buoyed by the equaliser, Kakamega Homeboyz pushed for a winner.
Substitute Moses Shikanda came agonisingly close after latching onto a long ball from Estone Omengo, but Matumele produced a brilliant fingertip save to deny him.
KCB, too, had their moments, with Makati nearly grabbing a second, only to see his effort drift wide from a well-worked set-piece.
Despite sustained pressure from Homeboyz in the closing stages, KCB’s defence held firm, ensuring the contest ended level.
The result sees Kakamega Homeboyz halt a run of back-to-back defeats as they climb to fourth position on 47 points, level with Shabana FC.
KCB, meanwhile, move to eighth place with 41 points.
