The two are said to be keen on leaving Gor Mahia and Police have expressed interest in signing them this January.

Kenya Police FC is plotting a sensational swoop for Gor Mahia duo of Philemon Otieno and Ernest Wendo according to reports from the law enforcers’ camp.

The two are reportedly heading out of financially crippled Gor and Police have earmarked them for signing to beef up the arsenal at their disposal. Police made some high-profile signings during the off-season window. Some of the players that they signed include Duncan Otieno, Musa Mohammed, John Makwatta, and Duke Abuya all from Zambia while Clifton Miheso was acquired from Gor Mahia.

After initial struggles, they have finally found their footing and are unbeaten in the last six matches. They are set to beef up the team during the mid-season window transfer window with the backline their main area of concern.

Wendo, a long-serving Gor Mahia player has reportedly ready for a move away from the club. Police and KCB are reportedly after his signature, the law enforcers are said to have tabled a solid offer. Otieno on the other hand is out of contract and is weighing his options, the Bobby Ogola coached team has reportedly reached out to him with the aim of roping him in as they seek to stabilize their backline. Another player on the Police radar is former Sofapaka captain Michael Kibwage.

“It is true the coach has spoken about the possibility of signing the three players. Kibwage has been training with the team and it is a matter of waiting to see what happens in the coming days. The backline is a priority for the coach and he wants to get some established players to help solidify that department,” a source from Police disclosed.

The mid-season window opened on Sunday 9th January and will run up until 5th February.
