The 19-year-old has been the subject of transfer speculation throughout the summer transfer window, with several clubs eying his signature.

Salzburg forked out €2.25 million (Ksh338,000,000 approx) to complete the transfer, less than half of his market value of €5 million.

Bidchoff’s transfer was confirmed by Salzburg on Tuesday, 2 September, with the Kenyan prospect signing a four-year deal.

“FC Red Bull Salzburg are delighted to announce the signing of Clement Bischoff from Brøndby IF. The 19-year-old forward has committed to the club with a contract running until June 30, 2029,” reads part of the club's statement.

The Austrian side went ahead to reveal some of the statistics that endeared the club to go for the Kenyan attacker, who will don jersey number 7.

“Bischoff, a versatile and dynamic attacker, represented Denmark at the UEFA U21 European Championship in June, where he scored twice. A product of Brøndby’s academy, he made 55 first-team appearances (3 goals, 13 assists) for the Danish club,” stated the club.

On his part, RB Salzburg’s Sporting Director Rouven Schroder hailed the Kenyan as a good replacement for Dorgeles Nene and Adam Daghim, who departed for Turkish side Fenerbahce and German club Wolfsburg, respectively.

“With Clement Bischoff, we’ve added a creative and versatile attacking option to our squad. He’s already proven himself at international level with Denmark’s U21 and brings valuable experience with 55 appearances for Brøndby.

Alongside Moussa Yeo, who recently returned from a long injury break, we are well prepared following the departures of Dorgeles Nene and Adam Daghim,” said Schröder.

Bischoff, who can also play on the left side of midfield or as an attacking midfielder, expressed his delight in joining the club where he will link up with his former Brondby captain.

“I’m proud to join FC Red Bull Salzburg. For a young player, this is the perfect place to develop because so many top players have started their careers here.

I’m eager to get going, meet my new teammates, and contribute to the team’s success. I’m especially looking forward to seeing Jacob Rasmussen, my former teammate and captain at Brøndby, who spoke very highly of this club and the city,” remarked Bischoff.

In June, Bischoff was linked with moves to English Premier League (EPL) sides Brighton & Hove Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers, including Turkish giants Beşiktaş, but the moves collapsed after the clubs and the player failed to agree on personal terms.
