While England continue their World Cup campaign without him, Harry Maguire has still found a way to be part of the tournament atmosphere.
The Manchester United defender, who was surprisingly omitted from Thomas Tuchel's England squad, travelled to the United States to support the team and connect with supporters. Earlier this month, Maguire admitted he was "shocked and gutted" after learning he would miss out on the World Cup, but he has since embraced a positive role around the competition.

During a visit to New York City, the experienced centre-back took part in several fan-focused events. He was seen handing out Panini sticker albums at Rockefeller Center before making an appearance at a Manchester United-themed fan venue near Times Square, where he participated in a meet-and-greet and answered questions from supporters. Sharing the experience on Instagram, Maguire posted a photo with fans alongside the caption: "Always good to see the fans around the world."
Despite his international disappointment, Maguire can look back on a solid club season. The 33-year-old remained a key figure in United's back line under manager Michael Carrick, making regular starts and contributing one goal and two assists across the campaign.
Speaking on Gary Lineker's podcast, 'The Rest is Football,' Maguire also opened up about the conversation in which Tuchel informed him he would not be included in England's 26-man squad, describing the video call as "awkward."
England, missing several high-profile players including Cole Palmer, Phil Foden and Trent Alexander-Arnold, began their World Cup journey with a thrilling 4-2 victory over Croatia in Dallas. Their next challenge comes on Tuesday when they take on Ghana in Massachusetts.
