Arsenal, Manchester United, Tottenham and Inter are interested in LOSC Lille defender
The old Latin proverb claims that Nomen est omen. The name is a sign. And if you are a defender, there can hardly be a better name than Smart Steel. It's what Turkish defender Zeki Celik's name translates to. And if you don't want some intelligence and durability to your backline – well, you must be crazy!
Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham have all shown interest in Lille right-back Zeki Celik. The 24-year-old has enjoyed a good season with Lille, helping them win Ligue 1, and he is expected to be on the move this summer. Celik, who has two years left on his current contract, is valued at around $18million, and Arsenal, Manchester United, and Spurs are all monitoring his situation.

Arsenal is in the market for a right-back during the upcoming transfer window as Hector Bellerin is expected to leave. The Spaniard is currently attracting interest from Real Betis, but there are fears about whether they have the financial power to tie up a deal for the 26-year-old.
Celik has emerged as a contender to replace Bellerin, with the Gunners impressed by the right-back's performances this season - particularly his skill in possession and threat going forward, along with his ability to press and win balls high up the pitch.
Manchester United, meanwhile, want a proven right-sided defender to provide competition to their current first-choice Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Manager Ole-Gunnar Solskjaer has also been credited with admiration for Atletico's Englishman Kieran Trippier as the Norwegian looks to build on his team's second-place finish.

Spurs are also thought to be in the market for a new right-back after Serge Aurier said he had reached the 'end of a cycle at the club. The Frenchman is reluctant to sign a new contract in North London and is still hoping his beloved Paris Saint-Germain will call and bring him back to Parc des Princes.
The Turkey international, who will be playing at Euro 2020 this summer, would be willing to listen to all offers, and he is also understood to be on the radar of clubs in Europe. One of those is Inter Milan, who are tracking Celik amid fears Achraf Hakimi could leave for Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

Right-backs are apparently in high demand these days. Not only there are many potential transfers of right-sided defenders being talked about, but there is also plenty of talk about England manager Gareth Southgate and his decision to call up four right-backs for the upcoming Euro 2020 tournament.
Who will add Smart Steel to their defence?
