The Mozzart Bet Cup continues to grow in stature, with the 2025 edition etched firmly into Kenyan football folklore.
In a dramatic final played on 29 June, Nairobi United produced one of the biggest upsets in the tournament’s history by stunning record champions Gor Mahia with a 2-1 victory.
Then a second-tier side, Nairobi United, completed a remarkable fairytale run that saw them eliminate established top-flight forces, including Tusker FC and KCB, before silencing K’Ogalo on the grandest stage.
The historic triumph not only earned Nairobi a prize purse of Ksh 2 million but also secured them a coveted place in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Previous winners of the Mozzart Bet Cup include Kakamega Homeboyz, who lifted the title in 2023, and Kenya Police, champions in 2024.
