The clubs agreed on a fee for the French international
He was strongly connected to Manchester United, and he was mentioned as an emergency buy for Arsenal after Timber got injured, but it seems that Benjamin Pavard will continue his career in Italy. The French international is all but finished his transfer to Inter Milan, as he is determined to leave Bayern Munich after seven years in Germany. It’s probably not the end he expected, but he couldn’t control what happens in the Manchester United -West Ham negotiations. He was supposed to leave for Old Trafford, but Harry Maguire didn’t agree to his exit conditions with the Red Devils and the Hammers didn’t want to wait for him for ages, so the deal collapsed. And now he will attack the Serie A title with Inter.

The deal is so close that even the club’s top executive Beppe Marotta didn’t try to hide the deal.
"His announcement today? No, not today. But we're in good shape. We shot very high in this need, we are very ambitious. It is not an illusion. We are often told that we want to delude people, it is not like that at all. We aim high goals. We want strong people. We want a mix between young and old. With only young people you don't win anything, it takes balance“ Marotta said to Radio Serie A. As for the price, Bayern is requesting 30 million euros plus various bonuses, while Inter is offering 27 million and three more in fixed bonuses, which means that the deal should be struck very soon, especially since the player wants to leave and Bayern has agreed to sell him.
In his interview with Radio Serie A, Marotta also confirmed that another signing could arrive soon – their former player Alexis Sanchez. He also commented on the broken negotiations for Romelu Lukaku, after realising he was in talks with Juventus too.
“There are targets that you think you’d get, but in the end, it doesn’t happen. I can only say that Lukaku left a huge disappointment. I don’t know where he’ll go now, there aren’t many options left, I don’t think he’ll be back in Italy, there are just 10 days remaining. We’re happy with the possibility of Sanchez returning. When he left, he did so reluctantly. And now he’s sending positive messages about a return” revealed Marotta.
