The French striker of Congolese origins is enjoying himself in Bundesliga, and the feeling is mutual
Eintracht Frankfurt may be taking a second look at Arnaud Kalimuendo's future.
According to Sport Bild, the Bundesliga side are now seriously weighing up whether to activate the €27 million purchase option included in the striker's loan deal from Nottingham Forest - a clause that, until recently, was viewed as largely unrealistic.

The 24-year-old has given Frankfurt reason to think again. Kalimuendo has scored three goals in just five Bundesliga starts, showing flashes of the sharpness that once marked him out as a top prospect at PSG. A recent shoulder injury briefly halted his momentum, but he returned swiftly - and made an immediate impact off the bench in Saturday's defeat to Bayern Munich.
Whether that cameo translates into more regular starts remains unclear, especially with first-choice striker Jonathan Burkardt back in contention.
Still, Sport Bild reports that the new head coach, Albert Riera, is a firm admirer of Kalimuendo and sees him as a crucial attacking option.
The financial commitment, however, would be significant. Beyond the €27m fee, Frankfurt would reportedly assume an annual salary of around €3m - a figure that raises the stakes considerably.
If Kalimuendo is to secure a permanent Bundesliga stay, the message is simple: promising cameos will not be enough. The goals will need to keep coming.
