Kenya Police technical director on how club will cope with exit of Abud Omar, other key players

Kenya Police FC Technical Director Bashatir Mnyama has appealed to the club's supporters to remain patient, insisting the management is making significant progress in strengthening the squad ahead of the 2026-2027 FKF Premier League season.
Mnyama's assurance comes amid growing anxiety among sections of the club's faithful following a wave of departures during the ongoing transfer window, with the Law Enforcers yet to officially unveil any new signings.

The former league champions have sanctioned the exits of several players as part of a squad restructuring exercise.
Those who have left by mutual consent include: Ambrose Sifuna, Enock Masinza, Awesu Ally Awesu, Chris Opondo, David Owino, Tobias Omondi and Alvin Mang'eni.
Meanwhile, defender Daniel Sakari and winger David Odhiambo have completed moves to Gor Mahia, while Harambee Stars midfielder Marvin Nabwire is on the verge of joining Zambian champions Power Dynamos.
Additionally defender Geoffrey Onyango and midfielder Brian Musa have also departed for Nairobi United.
Striker David Simiyu and goalkeeper Ruben Juma are also expected to spend the coming season on loan at newly-promoted 3K FC as the club seeks to facilitate their development through regular playing time.
Addressing supporters through a statement posted on his Facebook page, Mnyama urged fans to trust the club's long-term vision, revealing that preparations for the new campaign are well advanced.
"On behalf of Kenya Police FC, I would like to urge all our supporters to remain calm, united and patient as we prepare for the new season," Mnyama said.
"This will be a season of excitement, entertainment and success. We have planned thoroughly and worked tirelessly to ensure the team is fully prepared to compete at the highest level. Kenya Police FC is a great club with a clear vision, strong leadership and a committed management team focused on achieving excellence both on and off the pitch."
He further disclosed that the club has already completed the recruitment of several players, with official announcements expected in the coming days.
"Our squad is strong, confident and ready for the challenge ahead. We have recruited quality players who will strengthen the team and make our supporters proud. Very soon, we will officially announce the date for the unveiling of our new players," he added.
While the club is yet to formally confirm the signings, Police have already secured the services of Kakamega Homeboyz duo Estone Omengo and Oliver Majaka, Brian Mzee, goalkeeper Kevin Oduor from Nairobi United and Malian forward Kalifa Traoré.
The reinforcements are expected to bolster Nicholas Muyoti's squad as they seek to mount a stronger challenge after an underwhelming 2025/26 campaign.
Police concluded last season third in the league standings before suffering defeat to Tusker FC in the Mozzart Bet Cup final, ending the campaign without a trophy.
The club will now be aiming to ensure its ongoing rebuild translates into a successful 2026/27 season.
