Leopards youngster returns as McCarthy makes changes to Stars squad for Lesotho clash

AFC Leopards teenage sensation,Kelly Madada, has earned return to the Harambee Stars squad following an impressive season that saw him help Ingwe secure a runners-up finish in the 2025/2026 FKF Premier League.
Madada is among three new additions to the national team setup following changes to Kenya’s June international window, which has also led to adjustments in both fixtures and personnel.

Stars were initially scheduled to face Palestine and Kyrgyzstan, but logistical challenges forced a reshuffle.
Kenya is now set for two international friendlies against Lesotho in Pretoria, South Africa.
Both matches will be played at Lucas Moripe Stadium on 4 June and 7 June 2026.
The AFC Leopards youngster’s call-up underlines his rapid rise this season, with selectors rewarding his consistency, maturity, and influence throughout a campaign that saw Ingwe mount a strong title challenge.
Madada earned his maiden call in December last year for the Mapinduzi Cup held in Zanzibar.
He joins Amos Nondi and goalkeeper Brian Bwire as the new faces in camp.
The trio will replace Job Ochieng, Ryan Ogam and Byrne Omondi, respectively.
Harambee Stars reported to camp on Monday, 1 June, with an afternoon training session before departing for South Africa on Tuesday.
The double-header against Lesotho will provide the technical bench another opportunity to assess the squad ahead of upcoming continental assignments.
