The Brewers are among the four remaining sides in this year’s competition and will face KCB in the semi-finals scheduled for Saturday, 16 May.
With Tusker already out of the FKF Premier League title race, the domestic cup now presents the club with a realistic opportunity to end a three-year trophy drought while also securing a place in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Kapaito admitted that the desire to represent Kenya on the continental stage is one of the key driving forces within the squad ahead of the crunch encounter.
“We are ready, psyched up, and happy. We are putting more effort into training. It is a very important game because as a team, we need to win this cup to represent the country in the CAF Confederation Cup,” said Kapaito.

“Scoring is my work. I am getting playing time, and the best way to reward the coach, the entire technical staff, and the fans is by scoring. We need to win the cup at all costs,” he stated.
The two-time FKF Premier League Golden Boot winner also spoke about adapting to a new tactical role under coach Julien Mette, having recently featured both as a winger and in a supporting attacking role.
“It is a good challenge playing in different positions because as a player, for every role I am given by the coach, I have to be ready to execute it well. It also motivates me to know that the coach believes in me,” he remarked.
This year’s Mozzart Bet Cup comes with enhanced financial rewards courtesy of Mozzart Bet Kenya, with the winners set to pocket KSh3 million while runners-up will earn KSh2 million.
