Leading gaming firm Mozzart Bet Kenya Limited have explained why they improved the funding of the Mozzart Bet Cup to a tune of Ksh30 million.
The gaming firm have been the sponsors of the Cup from 2023 where they pumped in Ksh60 million for three years, bringing back to life the otherwise dwindling glory in the cup.

In addition to the previous success, Mozzart extended the sponsorship to another three years, this time with a sponsorship package of Ksh90 million - the highest in the competition's history.
Speaking during the signing of the new sponsorship deal and the round 64 draw on Thursday, 29 January at a Nairobi Hotel, Mozzart Bet Director Rolex Sirma elucidated the reason for the enhanced sponsorship.
“This sponsorship shows Mozzart’s continued belief in Kenyan football; our confidence in local talent and our commitment to sport as a powerful force for unity and national pride. This increase is a deliberate statement of confidence to FKF and clubs,” said Sirma.
“We understand that sustainable growth requires a broad and inclusive approach. Our partnerships are built on responsible, continuity and long-term impact,” he added.
One of the significant improvements is the newly introduced individual monetary awards that will see a total of Ksh8.4 million given to outstanding players.
The tournament's Most Valuable Player will receive Ksh200,000 for his troubles. The top scorer, best goalkeeper, best defender as well as best midfielder will each be awarded Ksh150,000 while the Most Promising Young talent will walk home Ksh100,000 richer.
“The introduction of individual awards is designed to motivate players across the country; from grassroots to the top tier, by showing that their efforts and consistency is appreciated,” stated Sirma.
Additionally, Sirma reaffirmed the continuation of the Ksh100,000 humanitarian cheque that has seen players donate to various noble initiatives in the society.
“The cup has become a competition that stands for impact beyond the pitch. The humanitarian cheque issued from the quarter finals continues to create impact beyond the pitch,” he remarked.
The 2026 Mozzart Bet Cup will begin with round 64 matches scheduled for the weekend of 6 to 7 February.
