Apparently, getting 320 million euros in two years is not the only reason
With the money he received from Al Hilal, it’s hard to imagine if there were other reasons for Neymar to switch from Paris to Riyadh. The Brazilian international is the proud owner of two records, and they are both related to money and not football statistics, or goals, or titles: Neymar is both Europe’s and Arabia's most expensive player. PSG paid 222 million euros for him to Barcelona (even in 2023, nobody is even close), while Al-Hilal bought him this month for 90 million, the biggest purchase in the Arabian world. But money is not the only reason for his move.
This is how Mumbai City FC players and staff reacted to drawing Al-Hilal in the AFC Champions League, meaning that they'd be playing against Neymarpic.twitter.com/txqclEnBwg

According to Nemyar’s long-time friend Gabriel Rodrigues dos Santos, he also went there to spend more time with his family and get away from the pressure.
"What he told me was: I'm happy, I'm going to raise my daughter here, I'm going to spend some time with my family here in Saudi Arabia, and then I'll see what happens“ revealed Gabriel.
And since we are on the subject of money, the Brazilian defended his friend, who was (like all who went to Saudi Arabia) a subject of criticism. Gabriel portrayed his friend as a man who is making such a hard decision that one can almost feel sorry for Neymar for taking 320 million euros for two seasons.
"I want everyone to put themselves in their situation, because in someone else's situation it's easy to say 'I'm never going'". Sea of money pours in front of you saying 'come on, two years'. It's very complicated to make this decision, even if it seems easy" explained Gabriel.
Neymar’s friend also revealed that his mate is not thinking of staying in the desert for more than two years. He will be tempted to come back to Europe, or maybe even MSL or native Brazil.
"During these two years, he will continue to play, to make a name for himself and to please the world of football. He still has "a lot" to give on the pitch“ he said. We agree, but let’s wait for the counteroffer from the Saudis after those two years...
