Samu Omorodion, 19, joins Diego Simeone's side less than a week after he put on an excellent performance for Granada at Wanda Metrpolitano

Give 100 percent every day at work because you never know who's watching and when a sudden opportunity might arrive. Just look at Samu Omorodion's example.

The 19-year-old Nigerian striker scored his maiden La Liga goal on his league debut on Monday in Granada's 3-1 away loss to Atletico Madrid at Wanda Metrpolitano. Despite his team's defeat, the talented African boy was on fire, leaving such an outstanding impression on Atleti's boss Diego Simeone that the legendary Argentinian demanded Los Colchoneros sign him almost immediately. And, voila - on Friday afternoon, the job is done!

According to Relevo and Marca reports, the robust forward will sign a five-year contract with Atletico after the club from the Spanish capital paid his €6m release clause. As things stand, Omorodion will probably stay at Granada on loan this season before joining Los Colchoneros.
