The Harambee Stars midfielder won the cash prize following his Man-of-the-Match performance in their Mozzart Bet Cup semi-final triumph over Bandari FC.
Nabwire came off the bench in the second half to help the Law Enforcers stabilise the midfield and scored the final penalty as they went on to claim a 5-3 victory on post-match penalties after the match ended goalless in 90 minutes.
Speaking to Mozzart Sport, the former AFC Leopards midfielder announced his boyhood academy as the beneficiary of the award.
“There is an academy called Vapour Sports Academy in Kawangware where I was nurtured. I think I will be supporting them with this award,” said Nabwire.

With the result, Police FC booked a place in the 2026 Mozzart Bet Cup final, where they will face Kenyan giants Tusker FC on Sunday, 14 June at Kwale Stadium, with Nabwire revealing the team’s motivation ahead of the clash.
“It is a good feeling to qualify because we are all aiming to play in continental football, and so with the league gone, we had and have to do everything within our means to win the Mozzart Bet Cup.
Everyone in the team knows the sweetness and importance of the Cup and is in sync to deliver it,” he added.
Nabwire also revealed the secret behind the Nicholas Muyoti-coached side expertly scoring all five kicks in the shootouts.
“We have been working on penalties in training for a long time, and so everyone was confident and knew what to do heading into the shootouts.”
At stake in the Cup final is Ksh3 million and a trophy for the winner as well as a place in the CAF Confederation Cup (CAFCC) and Ksh2 million for the runners-up, all courtesy of Mozzart Bet Kenya Limited.
