If any deal is arranged, it will be a short term contract
While Real is patiently waiting for the Champions League duel with PSG to finally start talking to their potential target Kylian Mbappe, the Parisians are not wasting any time. In fact, according to the latest reports from France (RMC Sport and Telefoot), and England (The Telegraph), PSG have reopened talks with the player, and Mbappe is OK with the idea. To be precise, if the deal is struck, it will be only a short one. While they boasted their financial power in the summer and swiftly rejected the large sums which Real offered, it seems that now they are starting to think about the money, and don’t want to see their best player leave for free.

As far as the personal terms are concerned, Mbappe and PSG are close to agreeing on the same amount which they offered him in August and he refused. Real Madrid still remains the number 1 competitor for Paris-Saint Germain and have never hidden their interest in the French world champion.
"It was a desire, a personal conviction, that for me it was perhaps the moment" said Mbappe to RMC Sport some time ago, talking about his desire to leave the club. Sporting director Leonardo insists Mbappe had 'always promised that he would never leave for free' and, even if he puts pen to paper on that new deal, Real could still come back in with another offer.
And while we wait for a possible deal, PSG is playing against Brest in Round 21 of the Ligue 1. After nearly escaping defeat against Lyon last week, the Parisians are expected to finally show a good performance and not play with the nerves of their fans.
"Neymar Jr is carrying on with his recovery plan. He's a very important player with extraordinary quality, and I think that any team would miss a player like him. Leo Messi is doing better, but he's still under the supervision of the medical staff. We're hoping to see him back on the pitch as soon as possible" said coach Maurizio Pochettino before the game.
