Both teams will be keen to secure maximum points after failing to win last time out.
This is a rescheduled fixture that was initially set to be played in October, but had to be pushed forward as Naibois were taking part in the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round.
Nairobi, eventually managed to cruise into the group stage where they will face Wydad Athletic Club of Morocco, Azam FC of Tanzania, and AS Maniema Union of DR Congo.
Over the weekend, both teams were in action. Bandari settled for a barren draw against Mara Sugar FC in Awendo, while Naibois suffered their heaviest defeat of the season with a 3-0 loss to Sofapaka FC, a result they will be eager to put behind them as they aim to bounce back.
Naibois have played four league matches so far this season, winning two and losing two.
Bandari, on the other hand, have managed one win in five matches.
They have drawn three and lost one. Nairobi United coach Nicholas Muyoti has consistently maintained that his side is capable of achieving great things, and he will certainly be hoping for maximum points this afternoon.
Ahead of the first-ever meeting between the two sides, a quick look reveals a common trend as both teams are struggling in front of goal.
United have scored just three goals this season, coming in their wins against Mara Sugar and Kakamega Homeboyz, and have failed to score in the two matches they lost.
They will be without striker Frank Ouya who is sidelined through injury, further compounding their attacking challenges. The team currently sits 14th on the log with six points.
Bandari have also scored just three goals this season, all coming in their win over Murang’a Seal, and have failed to find the net in four of their five matches so far.
This is certainly an area of concern for their Moroccan coach Mohamed Borji who is yet to register a league win since taking charge a month ago. The Dockers sit 12th on the table with six points.
Kick-off is at 3 pm.
