The Portuguese star midfielder is definitely leaving the 2021 champions

LOSC Lille star midfielder Renato Sanches wishes to be reunited with his old mentor and PSG's new coach Christophe Galtier but is tired of waiting. He decided to deliver an ultimatum to the Parisien club: sign me in the next couple of days, or I'll be going elsewhere.

According to reports from Calciomercato, AC Milan are hoping to secure the 24-year-old midfielder. Sanches has a contract that expires in June 2023, and he has been linked with a move to Milan since the January transfer window. Still, competition from Paris Saint-Germain emerged recently, and that threatened to scupper any potential deal.

The Parisiens considered Sanches only their third priority in this transfer window. Lens' staple Seko Fofana and OGC Nice's Khephren Thuram. After those two targets proved elusive, the club from the capital is looking elsewhere.

The Portugal international Sanches has been considered a world-class talent for several years now. Still, it was only when he started working with Galtier at Lille that he started to deliver world-class performances regularly. That kind of form led Les Dogues to sensationally pip PSG to the Ligue title in the 2020/21 campaign. Now that Galtier has been chosen to succeed Mauricio Pochettino at Parc des Princes, his former players are feeling the lure of the capital even more.

Meanwhile, Paolo Maldini and his Milan must sit and hope that the deal for PSG should fall through before they swoop in and finally sign their desired midfielder.
