The 2024/25 season was quite remarkable for Liverpool. The Reds went against all odds and won the title for the first time since the Covid-shortened season 2019/20. Not only did they did in style, with 10 points more than Arsenal, but they only had four defeats during the season. But one thing is also interesting – ahead of today’s game, the Reds will actually be a more rested team. It sounds incredible, but it’s actually logical. Since they finished in the Top 8 in the Champions League first phase, the Reds skipped the playoffs this week and actually had a full week to rest and prepare for Nottingham, Unlike Liverpool, Forest had to play in Europe and they crushed Turkish giants Fenerbache in Istanbul on Thursday (3-0) but had less time to prepare for Slot and his team.

Vitor Pereira took over from fired Sean Dyche and managed a victory in his first game, but this will be a totally different match.
