The penultimate La Liga round offered us a whole lot of excitement and some bizarre outcomes
As you already know, La Liga's outcome was decided long ago, with Real Madrid dominating the league, as Barcelona managed nothing more than to clinch the runners-up spot.
However, we can still see some truly entertaining matches on its way to the end.
On Sunday, in the penultimate round, Real Madrid drew at Villarreal away in a staggering eight-goal drama (4-4), while Barca brushed Rayo Vallecano aside at home (3-0).
Alexander Sorloth currently leads the race for the Pichichi trophy, which is given to LALIGA's top goalscorer of the season 👏

Erling Haaland's compatriot and Norway teammate Alexander Sorloth made sure his name went viral because he scored an incredible four goals in a single game against future champions Real Madrid! Eder Militao and Rudiger stood no chance against the robust Norwegian, who has now almost secured La Liga's top goal-scorer award with 23 goals to his name, three more than Girona's Artem Dovbyk.

On the other hand, the Blaugrana should be, paradoxically, sad about their 3-0 landslide win because of Robert Lewandowski. The Polish striker found the back of the net for the 25th time this season across all competitions, thus triggering the bonus clause, which says that Barcelona has to pay his former club, Bayern Munich, €1,25m for such an achievement.
