Stars Abroad: Oduor nets in Bradford rout as Harper clocks full minutes in League One

Kenyan international Clarke Oduor was amongst the goal scorers for his club - Bradford City - on Tuesday night as The Bantams secured their 11th win of the season courtesy of a 4-0 humbling of MK Dons at Northern Commercials Stadium.

The 24-year-old, deployed on the right side of Bradford’s attack, made his inclusion back into the starting eleven a worthwhile one as he was all the more impactful, scoring the team’s fourth goal in the 51st minute.

Oduor, who had in the first half seen his one-on-one attempt against Warren O’Hora cannon off the inside of the near post, took advantage of a Calum Kavanagh saved shot, and steered the ball home for his third goal in League Two this season.

By that time, Matty Platt and Kavanagh - his first goal - had already given Graham Alexander’s side a 2-0 first half lead, before Andy Cook headed in a third just two minutes before Oduor capped off the rout.

Oduor had in the previous match - a 1-0 win against Wrexham - come off the bench, but in this game, he ended up clocking 66 minutes, with Jake Young coming on to replace him.

His last goal came on Boxing Day in a 2-2 draw against Morecambe.

Meanwhile in League One, Kenya’s Vincent Harper was a full participant for Exeter City as they fell 3-0 at home to second placed Derby County at St. James’ Park.

The loss marked the end of Exeter’s two game winning streak as they maintained their 13th position on the log with 33 games played.

Bradford City occupy the same position as Exeter in League Two, with 43 points from 32 games played this season.
