Although his departure from Stadio Olimpico was widely considered inevitable, La Joya has extended his deal with the Giallorossi by another year
He was reportedly on the verge of leaving the Italian capital. Rumours linking him with Boca Juniors and Flamengo had been swirling for months. He even suggested that the previous Derby della Capitale might have been his last in front of the Roma faithful.
And in the end, Paulo Dybala and the Serie A club surprised everyone by extending their partnership for another year.

The Giallorossi confirmed this news with a brief statement on their official website, meaning La Joya will enter his fifth year at the club.
Since arriving as a free agent in July 2022 after a seven-year spell with Juventus, Dybala has made 140 appearances for Roma and scored 45 goals.
Next season, he will remain one of the most experienced players in Gian Piero Gasperini's squad and continue to be a key figure both on the pitch and in the dressing room.
