The club wants to see why there are so many injured players this early in the season
Since moving from Real Madrid to Old Trafford, Brazilian midfielder Casemiro is arguably in the worst form. His subpar performances in recent games are well documented, and the Brazilian will be honest enough to admit them first, but the situation with injuries is so bad that coach Erik ten Hag, instead of benching the player, is now waiting in fear to find out of he is another injured player in his team. Casemiro was subbed against Venezuela since he felt a 'blow in his ankle. So far, nobody knows the severity of his injury, but if he is not in the squad on Wednesday when Brazil meets Uruguay, then Ten Hag's worst fears come true, and he and United's supporters will then face another anxious wait to find out if he will be ready to face the Sheffield United next weekend. But until we wait, Manchester United won’t stay still. In fact, they have launched an investigation into the causes of so many injuries.

According to Daily Mail, Manchester United have launched an investigation into why their first-team squad has suffered so many injuries, with 16 players injured or unavailable to Erik ten Hag, despite playing just eight Premier League games. Officials from the club’s medical department are actively seeking to identify whether any patterns exist and attempt to find a way to improve injury prevention in the future if they can. Even though the injuries cannot be the biggest reason why United is playing so badly, the number of unavailable players is concerning, and it constantly interrupting Ten Hag’s game plans. Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are expected to be unavailable for some time, while Raphael Varane, Sergio Reguilon, Tyrell Malacia, Kobbie Mainoo and Amad Diallo are currently injured but are expected to be available soon. Add the out-of-form Rashford and Martial to that list, along with punished Jadon Sancho and the law-troubled Antionio, and the situation is terrible.
But on the good side, Manchester United (as always) is lucky since their upcoming matches are the easiest possible – they host Sheffield United in the Premier League (last in the league) and Copenhagen in the Champions League (one point so far).
