Once he successfully prevented his move to England, Nuamah spoke to Textor, stating that he wanted to buy a house in Lyon and play the Champions League with Les Gones. Moreover, he said that he could have chosen an English side if he had wanted to in the first place. Instead, he picked Lyon.

Textor then sent an apology letter to the player, claiming that he did not intend to force him out of the club. Ultimately, the relations between Nuamah and Lyon allegedly resolved. Although he was not in the squad against Strasbourg four days ago, the Ghanaian is expected to continue his spell in France.
