Young Kelvin is on several Bundesliga clubs' radar

Remember Tony Yeboah? If you've seen him - you remember him. The legendary Ghanaian striker still enjoys a hero's status among Leeds United fans, but his legacy is more significant in Germany. Now, there is a possibility his blood will continue to play in the Bundesliga.

After moving to his native Italy last January, Ghanaian-born striker Kelvin Kwarteng Yeboah has only managed 289 minutes of action for Genoa CFC this season. The 22-year-old, who represents Italy at the youth level, is considering another switch of country. Having spent five seasons playing for WSG Tirol and Sturm Graz in the Austrian Bundesliga, he could move back to the German-speaking region - this time in the "real" Bundesliga.

According to Sky, FC Augsburg is one of the clubs interested in Genoa's 22-year-old forward. Furthermore, clubs from the Netherlands and Belgium want to sign the former West Ham United academy prospect. However, the latest reports from Germany say that Augsburg have agreed to take Kelvin on an initial loan until the end of the season with an option to make the move permanent before September.

Tony's nephew switched to Genoa CFC a year ago to play in Serie A but was relegated to Serie B with the traditional club. His career did not go according to plan with Il Grifone, and the striker is still to start a game for the Italian side this season. Accordingly, the player should be dissatisfied and on the verge of a change.

Uncle Tony maintains a legendary status as a Bundesliga goal machine. He scored 96 goals in ten seasons with Eintracht Frankfurt and HSV. Kelvin was a prolific scorer in Austria, having found the net 34 times. He knows the language and the style of football in that part of Europe. It would also be a way to return to a top-level division, one where the name Yeboah still rings strongly.
