The 12-time FKF Premier League champions will spend a week in the lakeside city, a decision the club believes will give them the right footing before the new campaign kicks off.

Head coach Charles Okere explained that the choice of Kisumu was deliberate, aimed at creating the right environment for fitness work, tactical refinement, and team bonding.

Pre-season is a very important period for us as a team,” Okere said.

"Kisumu provides us with a perfect setting to work on our fitness, strengthen our team spirit, and also test ourselves in competitive friendly matches.

We are looking forward to a productive week that sets the right tone for the season ahead.”

The club’s chief executive officer, Sam Nzau, echoed the coach’s sentiments, noting that beyond physical preparation, the camp will focus on strengthening unity within the squad.

At Tusker FC, we believe in thorough preparation both on and off the pitch.

This camp is designed to not only enhance the players’ physical and tactical readiness but also to build cohesion within the team.

We are confident this will give us the right foundation for the challenges of the new season,” Nzau stated.

The camp will also double up as an integration period for Tusker’s latest signings and youth players who have been promoted to the senior side.

According to the technical bench, this blend of experience and fresh energy will be crucial in the team’s pursuit of success in the coming season.

As part of their stay in Kisumu, Tusker have lined up three high-profile friendly matches.

The Brewers will test themselves against FKF Division two central zone D side TBM FC, newly promoted APS Bomet, and 2023 Mozzart Bet Cup champions Kakamega Homeboyz.

The Brewers will officially open their campaign against KCB at Nyayo National Stadium, with the match scheduled for 1:00 PM kickoff.
