Wakachala, promoted from the youth team, was first on the scoresheet in the 70th minute, before Kesa, who opened his account in the tournament on Tuesday, added the second with just a minute left to full-time.
The win ensures the Sharks will head into the last day of the tournament needing a draw to lift the cup for the first time.
William Muluya’s side will face fellow Premier League side Nairobi United on Saturday, 6 September.
Meanwhile, in the day’s early kickoff match at Dandora Stadium, the aforementioned Naibois secured their first points in the tournament after producing a comeback to beat Sofapaka 3-1.
Nicholas Muyoti’s side trailed at the break courtesy of a Roy Okal goal, before turning the tables in an impressive second-half to get back to winning ways after falling 2-3 to Soy United on Tuesday, 2 September.
Lesley Otieno got the comeback rolling with an equaliser just two minutes after the hour mark, before Gideon Otieno and Majaliwa Charo scored twice in the last 10 minutes of the game to condemn Ezekiel Akwana’s to a second defeat in as many matches.
Sofapaka, who were beaten 3-1 on the opening day, will now look to save face against Soy United on Saturday.
