The former Vihiga Bullets FC striker produced a match-winning performance, scoring a crucial brace, both with towering headers, that set the foundation for Tusker’s victory.

Cliff Oruko later added a sensational free kick to seal the win and secure progression into the round of 32 of the revamped competition.

In an interview with the club’s media, Omolle admitted that scoring has been an area he has been working hard to improve, and was thrilled that his efforts translated into decisive goals.

“I am delighted to get on the scoresheet. This is one aspect of my game I have been focusing on, and these two goals give me confidence and motivation to push even harder, especially in the league,” he said.

The young winger was quick to praise his teammates, highlighting that the win was a collective effort.

“As a team, we are very happy to progress. Without my teammates, I would not have scored those goals.

We worked together as a unit to earn this victory, and it is always a special feeling to see hard work pay off,” Omolle added.

Reflecting on Tusker FC’s ambitions for the season, Omolle stressed the team’s determination to lift the Mozzart Bet Cup and end a 10-year drought since the Brewers last won the trophy in 2016.

“Our ambition is to win the Cup. This round is behind us, and our focus shifts to the next stage.

Every round is a challenge, but we believe in our squad and will continue to work hard to go all the way,” he said.

The Brewers will be eager to avoid another early exit, remembering last season’s heartbreak when Nairobi United eliminated them in the round of 32 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in regulation time.
