The pair missing has forced Robert Matano to shift his center back pairing regularly this season
FKF Premier League side Tusker FC have been handed welcoming news this week as it was confirmed by the club that defenders Charles Momanyi and Tom Teka are back into team contention after sitting out for the better part of this season due to injuries.
Providing a team health update on Tuesday, Tusker Assistant coach George Maina said that the duo had been reinstated back to the side in training, terming their return as a boost.
“We have Momanyi back and Teka is coming back very strong,” he said. “This will give us tough decisions to make in the team because they are doing really well.”

The two have had a tough opening weeks to the season, as they have had limited time on the pitch.
Momanyi, who was appointed the team captain for this season, sustained an injury 26 minutes into their third league fixture of the season against Kakamega Homeboyz, and has since not been named in the team.
Teka on the other hand, suffered a knee injury during Tusker’s August preseason friendly with Tanzanian Premier League side Coastal Union in Moshi, and has since been named once in the current season line up - a place on the bench against FC Talanta on 1 October.
With the pair missing, Robert Matano has regularly shifted his backline with assistant captain Mike Kibwage, Boniface Onyango, Eugene Asike and Jimmy Mbugua sharing minutes.
The two will offer Tusker a chance to potentially have the two regulars back into the squad, and comes at the back of Mike Oduor - scorer in the team’s 3-1 win over Nairobi City Stars - Daniel Sakari and Ibrahim Joshua all returning to the squad in recent weeks.
Tusker, after a long spell without action, next face AFC Leopards on Saturday 2 December.
