The former Bidco United man becomes the team's fifth new player to be signed by the Brewers

FKF Premier League club Tusker FC have once again dug into their bottomless pit after acquiring the services of defender Francis Oduor on a one-year deal.

The Brewers, who have already brought in four new players this offseason, confirmed the signing of the former KCB FC man on Monday, 4 August, terming the move as one "to add depth, leadership, and solidity to the squad."

Oduor, whose contract will take him through to the end of the 2025-2026 season, expressed his excitement at joining the club.

"Tusker FC is one of the most successful and respected clubs in the country. I’m proud to be here and eager to give my best for the badge and the fans.

I’m ready to get started and contribute wherever the team needs me. I want to make my own contribution to the team’s success and give my best whenever called upon."

As per the club, the former Bidco United player has already joined the team in training and is blending in well with his new teammates.

“Francis is a solid defender with great awareness and discipline," Tusker head coach Charles Okere said of his new player.

"His presence will boost our defensive options and bring experience to the dressing room. We are happy to have him on board.”

Oduor's arrival adds him to the list of newly acquired players, which includes: defender Eugene Ikutwa (Bidco United), winger Yakeen Muteheli (Ulinzi Stars), midfielder Vincent Otieno (City Stars) and Eric Kapaito from Tanzania's Namungo.

In a season of rebuild, George Odhiambo and David Polepole feature as players who were earlier last month promoted from the Youth Team.
