The experienced centre-back leaves after playing his part in what proved to be a memorable debut campaign in the top flight for the Bomet-based side.
Having earned promotion for the first time in the club's history, APS Bomet defied early-season struggles to retain their Premier League status, producing a remarkable turnaround that saw them comfortably avoid relegation by the end of the campaign.
Idah departs with nothing but appreciation for the club, its supporters and everyone involved in the journey.
"I want to thank everyone at APS Bomet for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to be part of such a historic season. From the management, technical bench and my teammates to the incredible fans, I'm grateful for the support and the memories we've created together," Idah says.
"It was a privilege to help the club in its first season in the Premier League. We faced challenges, but the character in the dressing room never changed and I'm proud of what we achieved together."
Now a free agent, the 31-year-old says he is excited about the next chapter of his career, and believes his experience across East and Southern Africa will make him an asset wherever he lands.
"I'm feeling fresh, motivated and ready for the next challenge. Football has taken me to different environments and every stop has made me a better professional. I'm looking forward to bringing that experience to my next club and helping a team achieve its ambitions on and off the pitch," he says.
"I've learned how to adapt, compete and lead in different leagues. At this stage of my career, I know the value of experience and I want to use it to guide younger players while still competing at the highest level possible."
Idah boasts one of the more well-travelled résumés among Kenyan defenders. He has previously featured for local heavyweights including: Bandari, KCB, Kakamega Homeboyz, Thika United, Bidco United and Nairobi City Stars, before enjoying spells in Tanzania with Coastal Union and Polisi Tanzania, and later in Mozambique with Clube Ferroviário de Lichinga.
On the international stage, the towering defender has also been involved with Kenya's Under-23 national team, and earned call-ups to the Harambee Stars setup during his career, underlining the pedigree he carries into the next phase of his journey.
With another chapter closed, Idah now turns his attention to securing a new home, convinced his wealth of experience can still make a significant impact in the game.
