Carlo Ancelotti gives his comment on the matter that has attracted a lot of attention in the last few days

The news of Xabi Alonso's possible arrival at Santiago Bernabeu after the season's end has raised many questions. And one eyebrow.

Carlo Ancelotti's one.

The Italian gaffer has spent the last three successful and decorated years with the Royals. However, his decision to become the head coach of Brazil in 2024 has resulted in various moves by the Real Madrid boardroom.

And the latest ones say that his former player is the top contender for the role of Carletto's successor.

Asked about the rumours of Xabi Alonso's arrival, Ancelotti said on Tuesday:

"I have coached Xabi. He's doing a great job at Bayer Leverkusen.

"He understands the game well, and that's why he's very good coach.

"I wish Xabi Alonso, Raul, and Alvaro Arbeloa to become Real Madrid's manager one day. I love all of them."

After such an answer, which hides more than it reveals, Spanish journalists wanted to hear Ancelotti's take on his own future:

"Everyone knows I'm happy here.

"But this is not an important matter now. We will talk in the future. There's time for it."
