Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) men's league holder Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) lost their second match at the ongoing Basketball Africa League (BAL), losing 96-62 to hosts Cape Two-time Tigers on Tuesday evening.
The Antony Ojukwu-led men needed a win to keep hopes of bagging a ticket to the continental championship alive but that was never to be.

KPA started like a house on fire in the first quarter, with American George Williams going out quick with 15 points as the dockers led 26-19.
Tigers, however, turned the tables in the next three quarters, outscored the East Africans 12-22, 23-34 and 11-21 for a comfortable 24-point victory.
Evans Ganapamo led the scoring for the Tigers with 20 points, while Micheal Gbinije dropped 19 points. Raphieal Putney added 19 and Dhieu Deng 17, contributing to the victory efforts of the Cape Town-based team.
Williams led KPA's scoring with a match-high 24 points, staying on the court for 37.39 minutes. The dockers forward was unable to break Tigers' defense with Denis Koja the only other player to hit double digits with 11, having played for 17 minutes.

The dockers had lost their opening match 72-43 and with the second loss to Tigers, the Kenyans are likely to finish in third place or lower when they face NBA Academy in their final group match.
KPA go up against a high-spirited NBA Academy. The Academy youngsters overcame Burundi's Urunani 79-69 in a tension-filled Group A encounter on Wednesday night, causing one of the biggest upsets in the group.
This leaves KPA as the only winless side so far.
