Wounded PSG, hungry OM and Le Classique for Ligue 1 crown

Injuries, suspensions and a fearless Marseille attack turn tonight's battle (10.45 pm) into a defining night in the title race

Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique de Marseille collide on Sunday night (10.45 pm) in a Le Classique loaded with pressure, absences and ambition.

For once, this is not just pride at stake. With Lens leading Ligue 1, PSG and OM - second and third - know that defeat could be costly in a title race that is suddenly wide open.

Luis Enrique's PSG are wounded, as Fabian Ruiz remains sidelined, still recovering from the knee injury suffered against Sporting CP, and has now missed four consecutive matches.

As if that wasn’t enough, Achraf Hakimi is suspended after his red card last weekend, while Quentin Ndjantou faces surgery and will be out for months. The Parc des Princes will feel their absence for sure.

There is one ray of light, however, as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is back. The Georgian has recovered from his ankle sprain and is expected to inject unpredictability into a PSG side that has recently looked far from invincible.

Across the tunnel, Marseille sense blood. OM travel to Paris knowing that a win would close the gap not only to PSG, but also to Lens, potentially flipping the Ligue 1 hierarchy in one explosive night. And they come armed with a dangerous, ex-Premier League attacking axis.

Ethan Nwaneri is set to pull the strings in the No.10 role, flanked by Mason Greenwood on the right, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang may start on the bench, with Amine Gouiri leading the line. Pace, power and ruthlessness - this is an OM attack built to punish any weakness.

There are question marks even at the back: Geronimo Rulli's poor form has opened the door for Jeffrey De Lange, a potential surprise call in goal for such a high-voltage clash.

This is not the usual Le Classique where PSG tower above the rest. This is a night of doubt for Paris and belief for Marseille. A night where the title race could tilt, where absences matter, where momentum can shift violently.

Paris against Marseille. Second against third, with Lens watching closely. Le Classique has rarely meant this much.
