The 22-year-old Italian beats the legendary Serb (3-1) to reach the Australian Open final, which will be his first Grand Slam showdown
An impressive streak has come to an end. The tennis dominance, which has been rarely seen, finished this morning at Melbourn Park. Ten-time Australian Open champion Novak Djokovic, 36, surrendered to unstoppable Jannick Sinner, 22, in the AO semi-final on Friday.
Four sets saw a one-sided battle, with the Italian rising star dominating the match to reach his first-ever Grand Slam final, 3-1 (6:1, 6:2, 6:7, 6:3).

Believe it or not, this was Djokovic's first loss in Melbourn after 2,195 days. That much has passed since his defeat to the South Korean player Hyeon Chung. It was the year Djokovic struggled with an elbow injury, and after that elimination in the tournament's fourth round, he underwent surgery.
A few years ago, Sinner was also 2-0 up against Djokovic at Wimbledon, but Novak somehow miraculously managed to turn it around. However, this time, Sinner felt it was the chance of a lifetime, grabbed it and stuck to it until the end.
SINNER HAS ONLY GONE AND DONE IT! UNBELIEVABLE!

For the first time in his career, Novak Djokovic has lost an #AusOpen semi-final. Scenes.
Fully deserved from Sinner 👏 pic.twitter.com/EkTybjMIKN
The Serbian superstar managed to peg one back in the third set after a tie-break, but that was all from him on Friday. Not a single break point in the entire game, along with 54 unforced errors, was enough to eliminate Djokovic from his favourite tournament.
On the other hand, Sinner will face the defeater of the Alexander Zverev vs Daniil Medvedev clash in the Australian Open final on Sunday.
