KD declares war on his former teammate and - quite frankly - he's got all the right to

Former Oklahoma City Thunder player Kendrick Perkins has fired laughable shots at Kevin Durant, Russel Westbrook and James Harden. And Durantula was there to fight back on social media

The ego is a nasty thing. Everyone has it, and it's as natural as breathing. But what separates decent people from others is the capability of controlling it, finding ways to stay humble enough and rational, and not allowing it to run riots. If the latter happens, you will become a laughing stock, an egomaniac detached from reality and common sense.

Take former NBA player Kendrick Perkins, for instance...

He had a decent career, even winning one NBA ring, but he was a sideshow performer, registering 5.4 points per game and 5.8 rebounds per game.

Aside from being part of the Boston Celtics team, which won the 2008 championship, he will be mostly remembered for his tenure with the Oklahoma City Thunder between 2011 and 2015.

There, he contributed to a side that included outstanding ballers such as Kevin Durant, Russel Westbrook, and James Harden. Still, for some reason, after all these years, Perkins considers himself the leader of that team!?

Working as an ESPN analyst nowadays, Perkins referred to himself as the one who led that Thunder team.

"It doesn't mean your best player is your leader. When I was with the Thunder, it wasn't KD, it wasn't Russ, it wasn't James, I was the one leading."

After hearing that, KD, currently plying trade with the Phoenix Suns, took to social media to show his disbelief.

"I know this may be a reach, but this comment is by far the craziest s**t I've seen this week," Durant wrote.

Durant and Perkins have disagreed multiple times over the past few years, specifically regarding Durant's decision to join the Golden State Warriors as a free agent in 2016 after the Thunder lost to Golden State in the Western Conference Finals the previous season.
