As the 2025/2026 Kenya Cup season heads into its highly-anticipated finale between Kabras RFC and KCB Rugby, attention is not only on who will lift the title but also on the battle for the league’s top individual honours.
Despite missing out on a place in the final, Menengai Oilers continue to dominate the try-scoring charts, with youngster Alvin Khavoli sitting at the summit after an impressive campaign that has yielded 14 tries.

Khavoli’s exploits have made him the frontrunner for the Kenya Cup top try scorer award, but his lead could come under serious threat during Saturday’s final in Kakamega.
The Oilers’ hopes of reaching the final were dashed after suffering a 35-17 defeat to Nondies RFC in the quarterfinals, bringing their campaign to an earlier-than-expected end.
Khavoli’s teammate, Daniel Kipchirchir, follows closely behind in second place with 12 tries, showcasing the Oilers’ attacking dominance throughout the season.
However, with one more match left for Kabras and KCB players, the race for the best scorer's award remains wide open.
Kabras trio Patrick Lumumba, Jeanson Misoga, and Eric Cantona will all have an opportunity to climb higher in the standings during the final.
Lumumba and Misoga are currently tied in third place with 10 tries each, while Cantona completes the top five with nine tries to his name.
A strong showing in the decider could see the Kabras trio deny Khavoli the top scorer accolade.
In the points-scoring standings, Brian Wahinya of KCB currently leads in total kickable points with 94, narrowly ahead of Kabras’ Cantona, who has accumulated 88 kickable points.
Overall, Cantona remains the top points scorer in the league with an impressive 133 points, while Wahinya sits second on 109 points. Enock Oduor occupies third position with a total of 86 points.
