The Club Games semi finalist's performance brought Nyayo at a stand still and he became the second Kenyan after the African record holder to break the ten seconds barrier.
Omanyala lowered his world leading time from 9.86 set in the heats on Saturday 24 February as he won the race in 9:81 seconds and pulled Imeta with him to 9.94 seconds.
Unbridled joy from Samuel Imeta after clocking 9.94 in the men's 100M final, which is his Personal Best.

"I am happy. I thank God, my coach, fellow athletes who have pushed me to this person best (PB). This is confirmation that my build up is working right. I started my preparations early and I am happy this is working. There is more to come," Imeta said.
If his time at the meet is verified, seeing as the event was World Athletics-sanctioned, Imeta becomes the second Kenyan sprinter to qualify for the World Championships in Budapest.
Omanyala is happy with his and Imeta's progress saying it can only get better.
"This is good progress for me and I am happy that I have the company of Imeta in pushing the Kenyan sprint scene. I hope he continues with this form going forward,"
