“Glad to announce that I will line up for my first Diamond League this season on June 15 in Stockholm, Sweden,” Moraa wrote. “Praying for good health and life.”
Moraa, a two-time DL final champion, had missed the opening six rounds of the current season, owing to her participation in the inaugural edition of Grand Slam Track.
So far this season, Moraa has run thrice in the 800m, clocking 2:00.97, a world-leading 1:59.51, and 2:00.92 in Kingston, Miami, and Philadelphia, respectively.
Up against her quest to kickstart her title defense will be two-time DL meet winner and World Indoor champion Prudence Sekgodiso, and Great Britain's duo of Jemma Reekie and Georgia Hunter Bell.
African championships bronze medalist Sekgodiso, in her first DL race in Rabat, finished second, clocking the fourth-fastest time this year - 1:57.52.
Reekie and Hunter Bell, on the other hand, hold the eighth and fifth fastest times this season.
Moraa, who turns 25 on race day, has also featured in three 1500m races this season - all in the Grand Slam Track - failing to start in one.
The 2023 World Champion was also meant to be part of the women’s 4x400m and mixed 4x400m events at last month’s World Relay Championships, but dropped out due to a visa hitch.
