A total of 48 Olympic and Paralympic gold medallists, including 25 champions from Paris 2024 last year, will compete.

Kipyegon returns to DL action following her attempt at a sub-four-minute mile in Paris last week.

The five-time DL champion is returning to the site of her 2023 title win, fueled by her latest achievement as she continues the search for a record-equalling sixth title.

In her speech after her sub-4 attempt, she said the chance would present itself elsewhere, including a DL race. She has broken a world record four times at a DL meeting.

In 2023, she broke the 1500m, 5000m and mile world records in Florence, Paris and Monaco, respectively. Last season, she broke her own 1500m world record again in Paris with 3:49.04.

She has fond memories of Eugene, having won six times at Hayward Field over the years, including at the 2023 Final.

Meanwhile, Olympic champion Letsile Tebogo resumes his rivalry with the USA’s Kenny Bednarek in the men’s 200m.

The sprint action will see 100m gold medalist Julien Alfred take on Sha'Carri Richardson and Melissa Jefferson-Wooden.
