The 18-year-old will line up in a star-studded men's 200m race alongside Botswana's Olympic champion Letsile Tebogo, just weeks after setting the athletics world alight with a stunning world U20 record performance.

Gout clocked 19.67 seconds in Sydney, Australia, in April, a mark that remains the fastest time in the world this year. The teenager has not raced since then, making his return in Oslo one of the most anticipated events on the programme.

Standing in his way will be Letsile Tebogo, who finished second in Rabat with a time of 19.96, as well as South Africa's Sinesipho Dambile, who claimed second place at the Stockholm Diamond League meeting.

The clash between the established Olympic champion and the rising Australian prodigy headlines an exciting sprint programme that will also feature Olympic 100m champion, Julien Alfred.

Fresh from her 200m victory in Rome, where she ran 21.93, Alfred returns to her preferred distance for her first Diamond League 100m appearance since winning last year's final.

The Saint Lucian star will face Britain's Amy Hunt, who broke the 11-second barrier for the first time in Stockholm, and Luxembourg's Patrizia Van der Weken.

Beyond the sprints, the Oslo meeting will showcase several mouthwatering rivalries across the track and field events.

Olympic and world champion Emmanuel Wanyonyi will return to action in a stacked men's 800m field that includes American world indoor champion Cooper Lutkenhaus, who stunned the field in Stockholm with a world-leading 1:42.70.

Former world champion Marco Arop and Britain's Max Burgin, who defeated Wanyonyi in Rabat, are also among the contenders.

The Dream Mile promises another thrilling battle after Yared Nuguse defeated Cameron Myers and Kenya's Timothy Cheruiyot in Stockholm.

The trio will renew their rivalry alongside Norwegian star Narve Gilje Nordås, American Hobbs Kessler and reigning world medallists Isaac Nader, Jake Wightman and Reynold Cheruiyot.

In the men's 5000m, Jacob Krop will face a formidable field led by double Olympic medallist Grant Fisher, Andreas Almgren, Nico Young and Biniam Mehary, who are currently the four fastest men over the distance this year.

One of the most eagerly awaited contests of the evening will be the men's 400m hurdles, where Norway's Karsten Warholm seeks revenge against Brazil's Alison dos Santos.

Warholm has lost twice to the 2022 World Champion this season, with Dos Santos also claiming victory in Stockholm.

The field will also include former world medallist Abderrahman Samba, Matheus Lima and Trevor Bassitt.

In the field events, Australia's Kurtis Marschall arrives in Oslo full of confidence after handing pole vault superstar Mondo Duplantis his first defeat in nearly three years in Stockholm.

Marschall will renew his rivalry with Greece's Emmanouil Karalis, while home favourite Sondre Guttormsen will look to impress before a Norwegian crowd.
