A total of 14 players and coaches have been dropped from the NSL end of season awards shortlist.
With two days left to the National Super League (NSL) awards, the final shortlist for the end of season awards has been released with 12 players dropped.
Aside from the 12 players, two coaches have also been whittled down from the Coach of the Year category with three referees and assistant referees also included in the new list.
FC Talanta’s Anthony Gicho who was instrumental in their title-winning campaign will battle with Cornelius Juma from Mwatate United and Vihiga Bullets’ Portipher Odhiambo for the Most Valuable Player (MVP) gong.
After guiding Talanta to their maiden promotion to the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) Ken Kenyatta has made it into the final Coach of the Year shortlist alongside promotion specialist Edward Manoah who secured promotion with Vihiga Bullets and Benedict Simiyu who had a fine season with APS Bomet.
