Harambee Stars will be up against Gabon and Seychelles this month in World Cup Qualifiers on 16th and 20th respectively
Saudi Arabia-based Kenyan International Masoud Juma has exuded confidence that the National team will do well in its upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Gabon and Seychelles.
The forward says the team is in much better shape than before having played high profile friendlies against Russia and Qatar in recently.
"We did well against superior opponents and the feeling within the team is that we can do better. I think we now have a well prepared team and have to give credit to everyone that is involved, we are much better than we were in the previous qualifiers," Masoud opened up,
"The coach believes in us and the boys are in high spirits. The coach is doing well with the team and the call ups have been consistent. I think we have a good thing going on and if we can be consistent as a team I believe we have the ability to compete at the high level. Mine is just to urge the fans to keep supporting us," Masoud, who plays for Saudi club Al-Jabalain, added.
Masoud Juma, who was flanked by the coach Engin Firat and new call up Hanif Wesonga, says the senior players are helping the new call ups blend in well in the team.

"Ours (senior players) is to help them (new call ups) settle in well and maintain the focus. The National team is a different ball game altogether and the quality they find here is high and therefore they need to settle in fast and give their best. They are obviously quality players that's why they got the call ups but they need to be consistent and the motivation and guidance we give them is key in achieving this." The former Kariobangi Sharks striker said.
Hanif, a first time call up to the National team, is keen on learning as much as possible from the experienced players in camp.
"I am really happy but it is just the beginning. I need to work harder and learn more and that is what I am keen on doing in my first camp with the National team." He said.
